Workplace mistreatment—including behaviors such as workplace aggression, bullying, incivility, ostracism, and abusive supervision—is a significant issue affecting employee mental health and well-being. These negative interactions can lead to increased workplace stress, decreased safety, and higher employee turnover. Understanding the prevalence and antecedents of workplace mistreatment from both perpetrator and victim perspectives is crucial for developing effective interventions. This presentation examines research findings on the effects of mistreatment on employee well-being and discusses evidence-based strategies to foster a healthier and more productive work environment.
