The Interdisciplinary Center for Healthy Workplaces hosted a group of leaders to discuss conscious business and healthy culture. This was an engaging discussion about how to create healthy organizational culture where people find meaning (and happiness) in what they do. Peter Matthies, founder of the Conscious Business Institute (CBI) based in Santa Barbara, joined us to lead the discussion. (See website: https://www.consciousbusinessinstitute.com/). His organization has a new model and step-by-step-process for creating inspiring, more conscious organizations where human beings can fully express themselves, build high functioning teams, be authentic leaders, create purpose-driven cultures, and ultimately be their best selves in work and in life. CBI’s approaches and programs have been implemented in companies including BMW Group, Starbucks, Intel, or Allianz. In attendance were experts and partners from ICHW, Greater Good Science Center, Haas School of Business, Swarthmore, Intel, and Athleta.
